This article examines the visualization and function of Baroque architecture, notably works Francesco Borromini, in Eugène Green's La Sapienza (2014). Reading film tandem with essays on cinema art, it analyses film-maker's harnessing architecture as a means to elucidate questions that are central his philosophical enquiry: tension between rational spiritual forms experience, invisible realm behind appearances, mystery salvation. I argue develops complex analogy cinema, crystallizing aesthetic philosophy part wider interrogation intermedial influence.
